About the area
Three peninsulas east of Thessaloniki, with the city's airport close enough that a weekend there is a real proposition rather than an expedition. Sani and Porto Carras set the standard on this coast, and the region has the longest run of organised beach infrastructure in northern Greece — which is why the season here lasts measurably longer than the map suggests.
